Seventh Generation Baby

Wow, it really has been a hot minute since I've done a blog post.
Today I'm bringing you moms or moms to be a baby related blog post!

I've been planning this post for awhile but I was still pregnant when the products came to my doorstep. My son was a tiny 6 pound baby that was in preemie diapers for AWHILE. So, I had to of course wait til my son was able to fit into the size 1 diapers. We are a little over a month old now and big enough to fit these diapers. YAY!

Personally, my son does not (knock on wood) have any problems with diapers or fragrance issues. I know that when it comes to diapers his rashes heal SO quick when he is in a "organic/free & clear/hypoallergenic" kind of diaper. I don't like to use fragrant wipes on him or diapers that have any bleached cotton in them.

Diapers:
In my box I got the Seventh Generation size 1 diapers. These diapers are super cute and unique. The diapers have a light brown/creme kind of background color to them which is super different. Usually, diapers are the classic white so the creme color is different. The design print overall is a cute, neutral, design that also matches their wipe packaging. Super soft and absorbent diapers for my son as he does pee GALLONS it feels like. HAHA.
Pampers personally do not hold his pee and it when comes to Pamper diapers the pee literally seeps through the diaper almost instantly and gets on his clothes- very gross and not okay.

Overall, I love the diapers. Only thing is that they are long in the front so I do fold the top down before fastening. I don't think everyone would have that issue as my son is rather small & not very long. Folding the top doesn't make me like the diaper any less and not the only diapers I have to fold.
If you are looking for a 0% lotion, fragrance, and chlorine bleach free diapers I would snag a box of Seventh Generation Diapers.

Wipes:
I got 2 sample packs of the wipes. I haven't opened the sample packs because I used my personal money and bought a pack of wipes myself prior to getting this sample box. The wipes are super thick and soft. Of course, the wipes are free & clear, 0% fragrance, alcohol, parabens, and phenoxyethanol. Not tested on animals and no animal ingredients. I use them for removing my makeup at night or just wiping my face. Lets be real, this El Paso over 100 degree weather, you of course sweat and face gets gross. I like to just take a quick baby wipe to the face so it feels clean & refreshed.
Overall, love the wipes, feel nice not rough, simple baby wipe. I would personally buy more. I wish you could buy these sample packs honestly. The little sample packs are just easy to throw in your purse or car to use like a wet wipe.
Would recommend buying but if you are up for buying something kinda similar- water wipes, pampers sensitive, and parent's choice wipes are all good alternatives. No harsh chemicals and a little less of a price tag.

Lotion:
This was an iffy one for me. I got two of these new Moisture Lotions from Seventh Generations new Coconut Care line. The 1st one I used while pregnant on my stomach and was AMAZING. Felt super soft and skin was hydrated but it felt gritty. I am not sure if you need to shake these before you use them as it doesn't say you need to but the 1st sample was terribly gritty. Felt almost like a scrub against my skin which I didn't love.

I did give this another shot tho and opened the second sample. The second sample was perfect and I assume this sample is the formula and texture the product is suppose to be. Still feels just as moisturizing as it did before.
Overall, I love this lotion. I would love to buy some and even try out their diaper cream from this Coconut Care line. My sons skin feels super soft and moisturized after using the lotion and not greasy at all.
One thing I want to mention is that this is made with PURE coconut oil, so it does have that natural coconut smell. The smell is extremely light and does not bother me. If you have ever used pure coconut oil before you already know it does have the coconut smell.
Honestly, even if smells bother you the natural coconut smell wont. You have to REALLY sniff against the skin to even smell the coconut. Even with a big inhale against the skin you can barely smell it.

Princessly Polish Nail Essential Set

Today, I'm going to share some new products from Princessly Polished. This is the new Princessly Polished Nail Essentials.

Princessly Polished Nail Essential set consists of a basecoat, quick dry top coat, and a nourishing oil that ALSO acts as a drying oil. Making your mani dry even faster! ;)

(Basecoat) "Once Upon a Tip Basecoat": this sheer white basecoat helps smooth out the nail & brightens them. Dries fairly quick and to a satin finish. This basecoat is durable enough to wear alone on the nails while adding a little strength to them. The finish of the basecoat is beautiful!

(Topcoat) "Your Royal Shineness Topcoat": a VERY quick dry topcoat that is extremely shiny. The flat brush of this makes it where you wont streak that nail art you've spent so much time on. This is a 5 free topcoat just like the rest of the PP line!

(Oil) "The End Mani-cure Oil": a nourishing oil that also acts of a drying oil. This is an unscented really light oil. Absorbs into the skin extremely well without leaving an oil shine to the skin like other oils do. This oil is full of anti-oxidants, vitamins, and minerals. Ingredients: Mineral Oil, Grapeseed Oil, and Jojoba Oil. NOTE: If your brush on this oil is stiff just gently pinch & rub the bristles.

Release date: November 20th.

Okay, enough with the straight to the point info. I'm going to talk a little about my personal experience with this set.

-Basecoat: This is a super creamy formula. A sheer, brightening base coat. I love that this basecoat dries satin because I personally think it acts an extra touch of natural look to the nail. Definitely would recommend two coats + topcoat if you are going to wear alone. If under a mani then just one coat would do the job.

When I wear this alone I prep my nails by removing any dead cuticle, gently buff the nail, apply a dehydrator the nail, sticky base coat, then 2 thin coats of Once Upon a Tip Basecoat. Add topcoat.

-Topcoat: I honestly LOVE this topcoat. Dries extremely quick and a high shine finish like a gel topcoat would. I have not really had the chance to test this topcoat with nail art but will update this blog post when I get the chance.
I have tho noticed that this topcoat has made glitters stay a lot longer than other topcoats. That is a plus!

-Oil: This oil. I have to admit this is a game changer when it comes to swatching. This is the only oil I've used that DOES NOT leave an oil shine to the skin even after absorbed. Absorbs very quick and also no lingering smell. The End Mani-Cure Oil is completely unscented.

Overall, I'm completely in love with this manicure essential set by Princessly Polished. A complete game changer all while making your nails beautiful. If you prefer more color to the nails this still works amazing with a colored polished. I have noticed that my manicure dries a lot quicker than usual & lasting a couple days longer. Extra plus! Now I can make my manicures last more than a week.
